Our Story

A family legacy of stewardship, serenity, and the spirit of the land — since 1966.

| Meet the stewards

Michel & Hélène Leblanc

Yes, this is us, Michel and Hélène Leblanc. We are the proud stewards of Domaine Labrador, a 130‑acre sanctuary we have nurtured with love and care for nature and wildlife. Our family has called this land home since 1966, and over the decades, we have watched it transform from open fields to a sand pit, and finally into a model of land rehabilitation.

Each corner of this property tells a story. One by one, we built our cottages, each with its own character, charm, and a vision to live in harmony with the land. Every detail was guided by a single principle: respect for nature and a desire to create a place where people can pause, breathe, and reconnect with the world around them.

Now in retirement, retired from the 9‑to‑5 at least, our greatest joy is welcoming you here. Whether you come for a quiet day of swimming or fishing, stay longer in our cozy log cottages, or gather your family or colleagues for a memorable event, we are here to help you experience the peace and beauty of this land.

At Domaine Labrador, you do not just visit, you arrive at a place where time slows, where nature inspires, and where serenity becomes a part of you. This is our gift, and we cannot wait to share it with you.

We built every cottage with our own hands, always thinking of the day we could share this haven with others. It is more than a property — it is our life’s work.
